NDT, Welding, and various related courses are the building blocks of the ladder leading to the horizon of success. The only concern is how you do it.
I started my career in 2002 in the field of NDT and welding. I had an electrical background, so I knew very little about them. It was quite late, but I realized the power/status/recognition of the certification later.
In Indian Government Sectors like NTPC (Public Sector), qualification requirements are less compared to the knowledge you have. Professional skills and problem-solving abilities are required. I have seen some of her NDT staff at Level 2/3 with limited knowledge of techniques and demonstration skills that have paved the way for rudimentary inspections and fixes. Please continue to share. Although not officially certified, I met some knowledgeable staff who are familiar with the concepts of NDT/welding. anyway
in the international field; credentials are required. Some countries prefer ASNT/AWS certification, while others prefer CSWIP/TWI/BiNDT. New trends welcome his IWE/ISO.
In India, there is a welding inspector course system separate from IIW/WRI Trichy and NDT certification bodies such as ISNT and WRI. They prefer his ASNT NDT Level II or III.
So the question comes up again... What should I do??
Choosing the /TWI course is if you want to work in a specific country where AWS/ASNT is less prevalent. Preferred choice….
Choose ASNT/AWS if you have employment opportunities with clients in the US/Canada.
in India. ASNT/AWS/ISNT/CSWIP are all equivalent...because people are more interested in solving and solving NDT/welding questions than authentication.
